Medical condition on a Z.22 Statement of Disability - handwriting.

Please can you help out interpreting the handwriting on this Z.22

I think I get the gist as I think it reads as:

"Effects of Gas Poisoning (Mustard gas)

He states he is very short of breath if he exerts himself ............ liable to suffer from nasal catarrh ............ On examination there is no visible signs of disease.  The heart's action is a little rapid.  Otherwise normal"

But ???? - please help fill in the two gaps.
