Weekly Casualty Lists - what do the various parts signify ?

When cross referencing the Weekly Casualty Lists can anything be read into the source of various parts ? ie can we assume that men in a single part under a particular Regiment header would come from a single Bn or are these still mixed ?

 

Tracking the Bn's earlier in the war is more straightforward as you can ref towns or, in my case, TF numbers. As the war progresses though this obviously gets more difficult and I am looking for any ways to make the later casualty lists more "readable".

 

Any hints or tips on how to best use them would be greatly appreciated.
