Terence Munson Posted 28 November , 2020 Share Posted 28 November , 2020 Hi, I'm currently researching WW2 local (to Grimsby), casualties, but would appreciate any info on a DSM, I believe must have been awarded in the Great War (One source lists DSM and Bar). The casualty is William Revell (43) Donkeyman DSM F.V. "The Tetrarch" Fishing Fleet CWGC casualty/2803900/revell 30/11/1941 Most likely recipient is Absent Voter 1919: REVELL, William 45 Cavendish Street (Grimsby). Private No. 106679, M.G.C., P.O.W. However I cannot him connected with the Fishing Industry before or during the Great War. His job: Donkeyman is very unusual I’ve not seen used in fishing crew lists and suggests a Merchant Navy Connection between the wars. Any Great War info., would be appreciated.
