Hello 

Can any one tell me the best way to find a M.I.D. posted in the London Gazette

I am researching Captain. Wilfrid Lawrence John Nicholas East Kent Regiment

his card mentions at bottom left L.G. 1-1-1916 Page 32

Also Any one who might be able to help with what action he won his M.I.D.,

Any help to progress with this will be much appriciated

Hi Philip,

 

His MC appears to have been awarded for his actions on 6.8.1918, whilst attached to the 7th Bn.

On page 32 of the London Gazette published 31 December 1915 (but dated 1 January 1916), he has an MID entry  of the form:- Nicholas, Lieutenant W. L. J., Special Reserve.
