Mates,

I notice there are no details on what he did during the war

All Bio's start around Nov 1918 with the Peace Commission?

Can you fill in the gaps?

Cheers

Klüpfel was a Korvettenkapitän during the war (date of promotion was March 22, 1914). He began the war as the navigation officer on the battleship Preußen and then Deutschland, also serving as the II. Geschwader navigation officer at the same time. Eventually, he's promoted to being Deutschland's executive officer. After that, he becomes a staff officer.

He’s promoted to Fregattenkapitän February 5, 1920 and Kapitän zur See on April 1, 1921. Retired as a Konteradmiral on September 30, 1926.
