arantxa Posted 17 November , 2020 Share Posted 17 November , 2020 Is there a website for looking up ww1 German dead soldiers Thanks
jay dubaya Posted 17 November , 2020 Share Posted 17 November , 2020 I have to admit to having never used the site but I believe this may be what you seek here - Volksbund J
charlie2 Posted 18 November , 2020 Share Posted 18 November , 2020 The Volksbund site won‘t help you very much - if at all. It is very different to the CWGC site. Your best bet is to post the details of the soldier here. Charlie

AOK4 Posted 18 November , 2020 Share Posted 18 November , 2020 No, it's Fahnenjunker Unteroffizier Walter Broßmann from Gera, who was KIA on 13.09.1917 near Monchy. http://des.genealogy.net/search/show/6881036 He is buried in Férin Block 3 Grab 50. charlie2 Posted 18 November , 2020 Share Posted 18 November , 2020 IR 96 was in the line near Boiry. There isn‘t a Walter Brockmann that was killed with IR 96 in the regimental roll of honour nor in the casualty lists. Charlie Thanks Jan, the correct name helps Charlie
