Help interpreting handwriting on medical/service record

Hello,

Currently doing some research into an ancestor who was part of the RAMC in Egypt/Mesopotamia. I've managed to decipher the majority of the contents of the documents available but I'm especially stuck on understanding handwriting in the sections outlined in red in his pension record. Would be very appreciative if anyone was able to shed some light on what these say/mean.

Thanks!

Hi, I was going to say the same. I think the first one says "Memo M 30/6193" - if so it presumably refers to a now missing memorandum. The next two are easier: "Adm[itted to] Hosp[ital]" and "Dis[charge]d [from] Hosp[ital]". The ship's name looks like S.S. Dara though I couldn't find details of that online.

All the best, John

That makes a lot of sense! For the life in me I don't think I could read those as H's and P's. I've been stuck trying to figure out what "Rost" could mean.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help, the Hospital thing makes a lot of sense now. I also thought it said S.S. Dara but wasn't able to find anything either.

There was a Steamship “Dara”  built in Glasgow 1915 described as a Cargo ship. Eventually scrapped 1934, its the only one I could find, no photo as yet.
