Unknown english soldiers grave marker 1915 plus 1916-1917 marked Graves

Middlebrooks Book First Day on the Somme had a map where Lewes was killed-was he probably buried  just behind the German trench? The land appears to be unmarked by trenchs?

Lewes was buried by the Germans, they may have buried him at some distance from where he had fallen originally.
