Unidentified unit

This photo was sent to me but I'm having problems identifying the unit.  As a secondary is that a tent half or groundsheet that each man is wearing?

TIA

I've no idea what they are carrying but could they be Manchester Regt?

A rolled greatcoat perhaps.

Yes. This was called wearing it "en banderole", because the French did it quite a lot.

It wouldn't be a tent half, because the British did not use them in the Great War. Groundsheets were worn attached to the pack.

For unit, Royal Artillery of some description (RFA, RGA, etc) would get my vote - some of the more visible badges nearer the front have the distinctive triangular shape but more diagnostically most of the men sport the white lanyard on the left shoulder (which is most commonly associated with them):

Do you know the location?

Sadly not. That's one of the things I was hoping to work out by knowing which unit.

Any of the shop signs or other posters clearer on the original with a loupe.

A nice photo, none of them are carrying rifles, and the badge is RA sort of shape on some of the chaps.

Yes, saw the Rowntrees Cocoa for the British Workers advert. There's another at the top background just to the right of centre, ledgible?

I only have it as an electronic copy but I'll ask the owner of the print.

No luck with getting the shop signs enlarged. Sorry
