I am trying to find the RFA  unit that  Clarence Rowe belonged to.His medal card shows two numbers...771998 for the RFA and 596559 Labour Corps. He survived  and revisited the Somme in the 60,s with particular attention to Becourt Military Cemetery. He is quoted as saying that “ he watered the horses in front of the Basilica in Albert”

I have tried numerous searches and apart from the mc drawn a blank.Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks again Zil

According to 'No Labour, No Battle - Military Labour During the First World War' John Starling and Ivor Lee Labour Corps numbers 588200 to around 602800 were allocated May to September 1918. Labour Corps numbers tended to be allocated in blocks so looking for near numbers with service records may help to tie down which labour company he joined.
