Dear Friends,

I need help, please.  When I try to access the pension info on Ancestry, this is what I find.  Appears the details have been mis-recorded.  Any ideas on how I can track the card/image down ?      Respectfully,   bif

Is it John Evelyn Thornhill, Seaforth Highlanders you're looking for?

Obviously I failed to read the title!!

Sadbrewer,    That's him.  Have access to newspaper archive thru my subscription to FMP.  Trying to figure out how to "find" the pension card/ledger that Ancestry seems to have "lost"?  Want to see if any new info about cause of his death is on docs for widow pension ?    Thanks for try anyway. !  bif

Card image as GR has identified on Ancestry's Fold3 site - was poorly transcribed - Military details have now been corrected as an alternative - Major, Brevet Lt. Col., Seaforth Highlanders and Army
