Marksman badge?

Hi Folks, 20200919_113502.jpg.e58c77994a4a223aac991978a25315bd.jpg I'm having difficulty deciding if the badge worn on this NF left lower arm is a Marksman badge and is there something above it? Or is it a completely different badge. Also his shoulder titles are they the N Grenade F or the NF. As always thank you for any advice given.

I think that GWF1967 has correctly spotted the most likely badge on his sleeve.

Many thanks for that. Is this something which would've been awarded to a Pte of a Service Battalion. My reasoning for asking is that the studio photo postcard came with a pair of medals to 83703 PTE. W. MOORE I believe 12th/13th Service Battalion.

Yes. Do you know which design his shoulder titles would've been.

Yes, looking at it as best I can on a phone screen, I think it is the one-piece title below.  The regulars of the NF were among the few fusilier regiments that had adopted a one-piece title before the war began, but the TF usually used the three piece that incorporated the battalion number.  Some other fusilier regiments changed to one-piece titles during the war.  The RWF, being the very conservative regiment that they were, never changed their shoulder title (or collar badge) at all.  They’d also been the last regiment to discard the plain white worsted thread grenade collar badge.

Thank you very much. Im trying to purchase the insignia worn by Pte Moore. Unfortunately my knowledge of shoulder titles & Cap Badges is very limited. I wouldn't know the difference between a Vic  WW1 or WW2 style cap badge im ashamed to say. Im hoping on purchasing the insignia worn by Moore in the photo postcard to frame along side his medals. Im relieved to know what Shoulder title I'm to look for now. Many thanks

I’m glad to have helped.  Below is an image of the exact pattern of cap badge that you need.  It changed in time for WW2.
