Pattern 1888 bayonet unit markings

Anyone know what Regiment the unit markings on my bayonet indicate.

IY= Imperial Yeomanry

 

I am guessing on the next bit  but SH might be "Scottish Horse"

Others will know with far more certainty.

Looking at instructions for armourers 1897, SH is the county title abbreviation for Shropshire who were 13th company, 5th battalion Imperial Yeomanry.....just another possibility.

I do like these old 1888’s Mike,

and a great unit marking to boot...do the Scabbard numbers match?

Yes they are very nicely made bayonets, and as for the scabbard unfortunately i dont have one Dave.

Sabres, many members I am sure would appreciate more information on this! Any chance of photographs of the ricasso so we know when it was made, etc?
