Great minds, Mr 999...

William's father was George Daggett, born c.1861 in Scarborough. On the 1885 Nebraska census, 24 year old George, a carpenter, was boarding with the Johnson family in Ward 3, Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska.

On 4th May 1902, William (aged 10!) arrived in Liverpool, having sailed from New York with his mother and sisters on board Cymric.

On the 1911 census, George, 50, is living in Scarborough with his wife, Ada, and daughters Ada and Vivian (both born Lincoln, USA).

In 1900 the family are still in Lincoln City, Lancaster, Nebraska. Surname transcribed as DIGGETT, and William is recorded as George W. Born Feb 1889. Image is free on familysearch.org

William is recorded as George W.

I see that another version of the 1919 maintenance article has him as George William Daggett Junior.

Also, his son was likely George William Lill, who died as George William Daggett in 1988.

A George William Daggett was born in April 1914 to parents Daggett and Lill (transcribed Ancestry  as Zill), Scarboro' - but it seems the birth was only registered in fourth quarter 1930. The 1914 register was then hand annotated at the bottom of the relevant column, as per attached.
