Remembered Today:

Pvt. W. Darlington RAMC #1962?

I have a photo of a group of British RAMC men standing around a Triumph motorcycle.  On the back, in pencil, it reads (as best as I can)

"Pvt. W. Darlington, Reg. No. 1962, C Section, 1/2nd Welsh R.A.M.C, Mediteranean Force".

Searching Ancestry.com, I have easily found a W. Darlington, Reg. No. 1962 , (Image Below).  But, it doesn't name his first name, nor can I find any information about him?  Did Regimental Number change when he might have changed Regiments?  There are so many W. Darlingtons that I don't know where to go from here?2078981210_RAMCTriumphMoto.jpg.469ed10ab6c822c273a438c8382c7bdd.jpg

charlie962, thank you for finding this.  What Decoration is William Darlington being awarded in the form above?

I will look him up immediately!

There's a hospial sheet also on FindmyPast showing he was admitted Edinburgh War Hospital Bangour with Dysentery 9/1/16.

From his very brief service record I would assume he was repatriated because of this from the Mediterranian Expeditionary Force in December 1915.

If you use the 366164 number ( Territorial renumbering of 1917) you will pick up links to Silver War Badge and Pension Card on Ancestry.
