Can anyone put me in direct contact with Barbara Walsh and Samantha Philo-Gill?

But having recently had several non-responses to this sort of approach, the best way may be to email the most recent publishers of the two authors and ask them to pass on a message.

 

(As previously recounted,   I've had two acquaintances of the 1960s contact me in this way.)

I've contacted some authors through their web sites, although it has sometimes been a bit hit and miss.

I have contacted several authors via their publisher, and always had a reply.
