ID help please

Found this remnant in SE Cornwall - Millendreath. wondered if anyone can ID shell please.

Appears to have  exploded as only rear few inches remain.

Approx 5 inches in diameter.

Looks like '4 Inch MK V gun' stamped, along with VSM (Vickers Sons Maxim) makers mark, and a date of 1918. The primer in the middle looks to be dated from the 1930's.

Hi thanks for your reply. Just wondering how the shell might have come to be on a hillside in Millendreath SE Cornwall, near Looe? No obvious military activity nearby??
