Gillian Pidcock Posted 29 July , 2020 Share Posted 29 July , 2020 My grandmother met my grandfather at a military hospital when he was recuperating from a shrapnel wound. She wasn't a trained nurse. Does anyone know if lists were kept of volunteers in Scottish military hospitals? There were 11 hospitals in Edinburgh, 15 in Glasgow, and 6 in Paisley (the local cities that they may have met at) Her name was Lizzie Millar and she lived in Edinburgh after the war.
