A Regimental medical officers kit and supplies were normally supplied by the local A.D.S. They were also supplied with a comfort hamper/basket consisting of brandy, cocoa, bovril, oxo and biscuits etc.

Question is, were these hampers supplied by the army as the norm or was it made up by the civilian population at home to give comfort and support to the lads at the front line.
