stevenbecker Posted 20 July , 2020 Share Posted 20 July , 2020 (edited) Mates, I was reading a Turkish site which included a unit of the 25th Div Erickson records (page176) that the (17th Corps) 15th and 25th Div's moved to Gallipoli around 17 Aug 1915 arrived around four days later. He later said (page 182) it was in the 14th Corps with the 42nd Div around Jan 1916 He does not list any Regts or commanders of the 25th Div in the Annexes? The Turkish site mentions only one officer at Gallipoli Maj Arif CO 75th Regt at Gallipoli 1915 I already had this officer; Maj Arsf Bey as CO 75th Regt at Gallipoli 1915 they are possibly the same man The Commanding officers of the; 73rd Regt and 74th Regt are not shown at Gallipoli in this lists for a more detailed lists see this account ÇANAKKALE MUHAREBELERİ’NİN VE KOMUTA KADROSUNUN TÜRK KURTULUŞ SAVAŞINA ETKİLERİ 26 Mart 2018 MAKALELER ÇANAKKALE MUHAREBELERİ’NİN VE KOMUTA KADROSUNUN TÜRK KURTULUŞ SAVAŞINA ETKİLERİ Yrd. emrezmen Posted 23 July , 2020 Share Posted 23 July , 2020 (edited) According to Turkish OH (vol 3, p. 462), both 15th and 25th Divisions arrived at Saros on 29 August: The OH provides no further details about the 25th Div's activities. However, it is known that 75th Regiment had been sent to Achi Baba Nullah (Kanlidere) sector at Seddülbahir and attached to 15th Division. Some of the casualties of the regiment between 30 November 1915 (17/10/1331) and 6 January 1916 (24/10/1331): According to 2012 edition of Turkish OH (vol 1, appendix 1), the CO of the 25th Div was Lt-Col. Ali Fuat Cebesoy (1882-1968). I can confirm that the CO/75th Regt was Major Arif. I need to make a comprehensive research for other regiments.
