ANZAC_Andy Posted 19 July , 2020 Share Posted 19 July , 2020 (edited) Hey there, I am very confused by these boots. All I know is they are not American due to the number of eyelets and general construction. A Metric size 41. What do you think they are? ZIL Posted 19 July , 2020 Share Posted 19 July , 2020 very limited knowledge on subject but rm williams...Australian..started business in 1932.I agree with wainfleet the stud pattern matches french boots but some had a horseshoe round the heel. Do you have any history...where found purchased etc. Zil
Ypres1915 Posted 19 July , 2020 Share Posted 19 July , 2020 It looks like there is French shoulder strap under the boot in the first picture.
ANZAC_Andy Posted 20 July , 2020 Author Share Posted 20 July , 2020 I came across these on the internet. I do not own them, nor do I have them in hand. At first, I thought they were M1918 Pershing US boots, then I thought maybe they are B5 boots with strange hobnails. Another friend told me they may be German low quarter boots from WWII. I got very confused as to what they could be so thought to post them here.
GRANVILLE Posted 20 July , 2020 Share Posted 20 July , 2020 I think the continental size on the sole is a bit of a clue. David
