Civilian travel USA-Ireland during the Irish Civil War 1922

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if American civilians would have been able to travel to Ireland during the Irish Civil War in 1922? And if so, who would have been travelling and for what reasons? Many thanks to anyone for shedding light.

Checking Irish immigration records for All of 1922 using random name of "Smith" reveals no incoming passengers of that name into Ireland. Perhaps if you have a name and date of birth and travel it may be more specific.

PS you may find this thread gets locked as it isn’t Great War related.

Hi there, thanks so much for your reply. Yes I realised I wasn't quite on-topic. Can I ask how you checked the records? I'm really bad at this. I'm not looking for any one person in particular, just to know if it was possible, for something I am writing. Thank you!
