nutthatch Posted 18 July , 2020 Share Posted 18 July , 2020 Does anyone know where the 2nd ANZAC rest camp was located on the western front in the May/June period 1917? My grandfather, Walter Thorpe, was there from 30th May to 18th June and therefore missed out on the Battle of Messines. Would he have gone there as an individual (sick/injured) or would his whole Company (D Company 2nd Battalion 3rd NZRB) have been rested? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
