sjk2104 Posted 14 July , 2020 Share Posted 14 July , 2020 Hello, I hope it's okay to ask... I have seen Dick Flory post elsewhere that he has a copy of the Old Lawrentian Register 1879-1934, giving details of former pupils of the school. I am looking for information about a Frederick Charles Barker (born 1891) who served with the ASC / RASC from 1914 to 1918, enlisting as a private and leaving as an (acting?) Captain. I attach a copy of his medal card. I would be very grateful for any more biographical info or help deciphering his unit -- was it M2. It's hard to get into the libraries at the moment and track down my own copy of the register. Also, it seems unusual that a privately educated 23 year man would enter the ASC as a private and then be commissioned through the ranks? Or perhaps not.. Thanks very much indeed, Sam Knight
