Hi

can any body help me decipher this record

it looks like George Rogers was in the Army for 68 days prior to transferring to RFC/RAF

I can’t work out what 3/5 S S R is and if he joined the army would he have a medal card or service records for that unit before being transferred to RAF

any help would be appreciated

Most likely South Staffordshire Regiment. The 3/5th was a UK only training and holding unit. As such no medal entitlement so no medal card.

Royal Flying Corps was Army so his service records would have followed him and then, like him, would have transferred to the R.A.F.

Hope that helps,

Peter
