Recently came across this rather old thread which was of interest on another war period forum - and does reflect matters from the 'other' perspective for a wider range of periods - so thought I would share as it appears still active and also includes some content about German WW1 memorials - and thus may provide information and/or stimulate some discussion here on GWF

I know the other forum's thread title is one the mods might query a bit, and its content often a bit adrift of our period, but it does contain interesting WW1 content amongst its posts - I hope it will be allowed to pass [but we are obviously in the hands of the mods - I await their judgement with some trepidation and also hope] = so long as we pals all seriously concentrate on WW1 here on GWF
