My Great Grandfather was born November 1900 in Bedfordshire and I have one photograph of him in a uniform. Can anybody help identifying it please, he is not mentioned in military records. Thanks

From Bedfordshire, and in the Bedfordshire Regiment, in a typical late WW1 era photo:

I concur with Andrew, the cap badge is clear and he also wears the regimental shoulder title.

Peter,

Welcome to the Forum. If you tell us his full name and some other details (names of father, mother, brothers and sisters), we'll have a look for you.

Thank you for your help, its such a pity I can find no military records

May well not have gone overseas during the Great War (too young) so served post-war, in which case (I could be wrong) his records might still be with the Army Records in (again, I think) Glasgow.
