The Tangier Archive - The Great War photographs of captain Givord

as the cover says, it is a photo book, got new , 219 pages, all black/white. Soft cover

A Spanish journalist discovered a treasure trove of original glass plate negatives with extra negatives in a market in Souk. This photo book uses 254 photos out of 478, which continued post war.The photos were originally for one of those hand held viewer sliding in a large double card, where the camera had 2 lenses, each off set just slightly to make a kind of 3-D photo. The photos in the book are good to high quality, and the “ author “. San Juan / Carlos Traspaderne

The book for the first 35 pages goes into this early photography, then to the Captain Givord, then 4 pages of original negatives . After that the rest of the book goes in order,of dates, each photo is dated, starting 08/02/1916 onward. The photos are large, covering over half of the page. A very nicely done book on the French in the Great War

My first book review. Did not want make too long, boring. Hope it was alright to show the few pages. All credit to the two who put the book together, San Juan and Carlos Traspaderne

Steve,

The book looks interesting. Are the photographs of the Western Front alone? Or other theatres?
