Pompey Posted 28 June , 2020 Share Posted 28 June , 2020 (edited) After the Battle of Gavrelle Windmill on 30 April 1917 "Private Powell 1RM found buried up to his neck has been there 2 days after a shell exploded close by" extract from Sea Soldiers. I am trying to work out which Powell it was? I think I may have narrowed it down to either Albert, Edward or Ernest who were with 1RM at the time, but has anyone got any idea who the lucky man actually was? Thanks in advance for any help.
