Admin RussT Posted 27 June , 2020 Admin Share Posted 27 June , 2020 According to the LLT, the 2/6th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers was formed at Mossborough on 29 September 1914. Anyone know where Mossborough is (or was)? I can see a Mossborough Rd and Mossborough Drive near St Helens but I can't find an actual place of that name. davidbohl Posted 27 June , 2020 Share Posted 27 June , 2020 It may refer to Mossborough Hall, map from Library of Scotland, cuttings from the BNA Dave

davidbohl Posted 27 June , 2020 Share Posted 27 June , 2020 I knew the Molyneux family (Lord Sefton) and Lord Derby would be on the title deeds somewhere, as is my house https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1012322 Dave
