Keith_history_buff Posted 26 June , 2020 Share Posted 26 June , 2020 Across the other side of the English Channel, someone has downloaded the various WO 388/6 files, of British awards to allied (foreign) recipients. They have done a great job of transcribing the awards to French officers. There are two files, WO 388/6/5 & WO 388/6/6, that are the primary source documents utilised.https://forum.pages14-18.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=73262 The IWM has some pictures of three French officers who were presented awards at Gallipoli (Commandant de Cavalerie Jean de Bertier de Sauvigny, Lieutenant Félix Alexandre Jean Léon DE LABORDE, Lieutenant Paul Eugène PELLIOT). Just prior to the ceremony, a small group of Royal Naval Division men are photographed peering at the medals.
