ss002d6252 Posted 23 June , 2020 Share Posted 23 June , 2020 As the war moved on the niceties of geography went out the window and men were sent to wherever the army needed them. Note that his service numbers are #34797 and #40392. Looking at other men it seems to have been a bulk transfer at a depit #40376 Lincs was issued to a man transferred from the Suffolks, formally #34433. The transfer happened on 30 Oct 1916 from a depot. The man had arrived in France on 18 Oct 1916 badged to the Suffolks. Craig
