Hi Shaun,

The part circled in Blue refers to hospital treatment he received prior to joining the RFC /RAF. He had previously served overseas with the 17th Battalion The King's Liverpool Regiment ( 1st Liverpool Pals)  as Private 15394.

The part circled in Green refers to being transferred to RAF Class G Reserves on 5th April 1919 (similar to the Army Reserves Class Z ) he was later discharged from the RAF on 30th April 1920.

The part circled in Black shows he served with 12 Squadron and also refers to his documents being forwarded to the Ministry of Pensions ( there is a pension card for him but it doesn't tell you much.)

The part circled in Red refers to his rank starting with that of  3rd Class Air Mechanic when he transferred to the RFC on 27th Dec 1916. Appointed 2nd Class Air Mechanic on 16th March 1917. When the RAF was formed on 1st April 1918 by the merger of the RFC and RNAS he was classed as an Air Mechanic 3rd Class and was later classified as an Air Mechanic 2nd Class on 1st Sept 1918.
