Ian Posted 3 June , 2020 Share Posted 3 June , 2020 Hello everyone, Can someone please explain to me how I would clarify medal entitlement for 304249 Stoker Petty Officer Ernest Frederick Yalden who served before and during WW1? Thank you Ian
Keith_history_buff Posted 3 June , 2020 Share Posted 3 June , 2020 Hi Ian, He should be on the medal roll. I see that he enlisted in 1903, so I would imagine he got the trio of 1914-15 Star, British War Medal & Victory Medal, as far as campaign medals are concerned. You can download the medal rolls for free from The National Archives. The file reference will be ADM 171/119 Hope this is helpful.
