KOBE Posted 27 May , 2020 Share Posted 27 May , 2020 Temporary Memorials Many people are aware of the two temporary cenotaphs built in 1919 (one in London, the other in Paris) but there was another temporary Great War memorial built in Paris in 1919 - the Monument to the tanks. It was a somewhat bizarre structure erected to coincide with the Paris Motor Show of that year and celebrated the part played by the internal combustion engine during the war.
