Hi John,

If you mean the locality Nine Elms and Nine Elms Military Cemetery, they are roughly 1 kilometre apart.  If you literally mean Nine Elms Trench then Rat's Alley gives this as just north of the River Ancre and this is around 45.5 kilometres away from the CWGC cemetery.  Of course there may well be other trenches called Nine Elms ...

River Ancre is south of here.  Dernancourt is SE.  Trench reference is Sheet 62d.D.18.d.2.4: image.png.08d21d99aca2caa73642906cc780d6c6.png

Thanks,

The 5th June states their position as Lavieville which is NW of Dernancourt so it must be Sheet 62d D.18 d.2.4. Planning a visit this year (hopefully).

Thanks for your help.

Regards

John

OK, then this is the correct one as it is just over 2 km to Lavieville.
