Richard Fisher Posted 24 May , 2020 Share Posted 24 May , 2020 An in-depth look at four of the 'L' series Vickers machine guns that we have in the Association's collection. The 'L' series was the first series of guns, 'L' standing for 'Light' as opposed to the Maxim machine gun that was in service. We have examples ranging from November 1914 to October 1916. This looks at their serial numbers and the production machining of each example. We also have a little 'Easter Egg' on some upcoming news.
