Ivor Anderson Posted 15 May , 2020 Share Posted 15 May , 2020 (edited) Corporal Reginald Sharpe, no.30729, 187 Siege Battery Royal Garrison Artillery Brigade War Diary Entry for 15th May 1917 at St Lawrent-Blangy: "In orders received on 14th inst. it is announced that Signaller Corporal no. 30297 SHARPE R. has been awarded the MILITARY MEDAL. This award is for continuous good work on the part of this NCO, and for work done in a reconaissance made at HAUT ALLAINES, and the repairing wires under heavy hostile shell fire at ANZIN ST. AUBYN on April 4th. This NCO has since been promoted to Sergeant." Corporal Sharpe's MM was listed in the London Gazette (30172) of 9th July 1917.
