There is a makers mark saying it was made in Canada but no date found. I was told it was British, so that puzzled me. Just wondering if anyone might know a thing or two. It is, technically, not incorrect to refer the belt as "British" (in terms of its style or pattern) but it is certainly misleading. Your belt was (likely) not used by a British Officer.
