Hi, Does anyone know if possible to find movements of RAMC and St. John units in and around Brighton WW1?

Regards

Brighton was selected as a major hospital complex in WW1, most notably for the treatment of Indian soldiers wounded on the Western Front.  There is a list on this page.

When the Indian soldiers were withdrawn from France most of the facilities were taken over by the British, notably a centre for amputees.

It was also the headquarters of the 2nd Eastern General Hospital (TF).

The RAMC and St John's were two separate entities, although men with St John qualifications were drafted into the the RAMC at the beginning of the war.
