Help with finding photos of 4th & 1st Bn's RF (City of London) Regt

Hi,

Another thread, apologies 😁!!

Like my previous post, I'm also looking for any photos of My Paternal Great Grandfather's (Henry Leopold Edwards) Regt. He was a regular soldier and served in The Royal Fusiliers (City of London) Regiment.

I've already contacted the Royal Fusiliers museum and found out quite a bit of information about him from them, but I was hoping to find some Battalion photographs, which unfortunately they couldn't help with.

He served in both the 4th and 1st Battalions and was promoted to CSM in 1917.

Any help again would be truly appreciated.

Neal

Hi Neal,

Have included a photograph of the 4th Battalion resting in a town square at Mons in 1914 from their Wikipedia Page and Veterans of the 1st Battalion in the 1920's from battlefields1418.com. There is also a 2/4th Battalion Postcard currently for sale on ebay: https://www.ebay.ie/itm/WW1-soldier-group-2-4th-Battalion-London-Regiment-Royal-Fusiliers-in-camp-/153523803439. Hoping these are of some help?
