Help with trench art soldier

Sgt Stripes

I came across this roughly made trench art plaque. The soldier is made of metal probably aluminium and is attached to a wooden board by wire. I think it could be a serbian soldier or montenegro. Could anyone help in its identification possibly by his rifle or uniform. Thank you

Many Thanks David. I could not think of what to call it. Do you think I should re-post under uniforms.

I was just a feeling I had. Not sure, but It seems to me that it could be, just could be, a supportive - perhaps sweetheart - badge. Has it a pin on the back?
