Help with P1907 bayonet pommel markings

Hi
I received this bayonet last week and was wondering if anyone knows what the pommel markings could mean?
Could HAA stand for heavy anti aircraft?

Kind regards Tom

Hi Tom,

I think that is a reasonable supposition. Also the TAV? Territorial Army Volunteers? Can't actually see other references for HAA or TAV. I believe that this unit mark was applied post WW1, probably in the 1930's.

Looks like the date on the bayonet is September 1917, and there is a re-issue stamp for 1919 on the reverse ricasso.

Cheers,

Tony
