i came across a  paper on a major general George.Alfred.Duncan.Harvey  .A spurious lead said he played for ireland at international rugby level      (he was born in ireland  on the 27th october 1882)   However i am  at a loss  to to find anything of him in the first world war and i was told he  was  an   (a d s m)   in the fifth army and was mentioned in dispatches .however he was also physician to king george does this add up   .Any pointer  really appreciated  44fish22.

Hi

George.Alfred.Duncan.Harvey (1882-1957), was in the RAMC during WW1

He was a Major and Ireland rugby player.

There is a photograph of him in the national Portrait Gallery.

He also appears in the British Army Lists.
