I’m sorting some things out and I want to find out about the above chap and then it might click to what his connection is with a certain fighter ace thanks I’m guessing the connection is Shoreham in Ww1

His military record is here:

http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D8235846

He served with 28 Sq then 59Sq in 1916 before suffering an accident at Gosport

The reference to 59Sq therefore refers to 59 Training Squadron

This curtailed his flying career and he went for trial as an equipment officer, classified as non-effective due to his injury he continued in Stores Depots

He had a spell in hospital and underwent numerous Medical Boards

No, the accident was in training at Gosport

He went to Reading for training as equipment officer

then No.7 Group in the UK (Salisbury)

then School of Instruction

then 1 Stores Depot (Kidbrooke)

Aircraft Acceptance Park at Norwich

3 Stores Depot North Kensington)

Transferred to unemployed list in April 1920
