Cliff. Hobson Posted 7 June , 2003 Share Posted 7 June , 2003 Whilst researching local men who served in 1914/18 came across four brothers by the name of Blow, three in the British Army one (Charles) in the Canadian Army, a bricklayer by trade had emigrated to the U. S. (San Francisco to help in the rebuilding) then joined the Canadian Forces. Local Newspaper Report 8th March 1918 said he had been gassed and in Hospital in France, can someone please tell me, is it possible somehow to find out if he survived the War ?. Cliff. Hobson. mordac Posted 7 June , 2003 Share Posted 7 June , 2003 Hi Cliff: He's not listed on the CWGC site, so it's likely he survived the war. You can find Charles Blow's Canadian attestation papers here: http://data2.archives.ca/cef/well2/247420a.gif You might want to get his records from the Canadian National Archives. Check out this site for more information on ordering his records: http://www.archives.ca/02/0201060101_e.html Good luck in your hunt.
