Can anyone give me a list of survivors of battleship HMS Audacious, sunk in 1914. My great uncle , surname Norris was aboard

The entire ship's company of AUDACIOUS survived without a single casualty, so you are looking for a list of about 800 officers and ratings. I doubt that a comprehensive list of those on board (a 'crew list') survives in the archives. Perhaps I am wrong.

Hi Tim,

As posted above.....

All the crew survived, (860 officers and ratings) there was only one casualty in connection with the sinking which was a Petty |Officer  (William Burgess 209113, aged 30 yrs) on board  HMS Liverpool. He was hit by a splinter when the Audacious blew up and sank.

Regards Barry
