Correct bayonet

Hello,am purchasing a 1917 smle made by Enfield and will be purchasing bayonet to go with it,they were made by s few companies see and was wondering what company made bayonet would be historical accurate ?

It should not make a difference.  As far as I am aware there was little rhyme or reason, and since so much bayonet production was commercial anyway, it really does not matter.

 

I could suggest getting a 1917 or 1918 dated one, but most you find will be anyway.

As NWhite says, makes no difference really, but you can't go wrong with one of the common makers for 1917 - Sanderson I think.
