alf mcm Posted 7 April , 2020 Share Posted 7 April , 2020 According to the LLT CCS numbers don't go up to 334. http://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army/regiments-and-corps/locations-of-british-casualty-clearing-stations/ There's nothing at The National Archives for that number either. TEW Posted 8 April , 2020 Share Posted 8 April , 2020 There's an MH106 record for him on FMP that shows admission to 34 CCS in 1916. Is the 334 from another source? TEW
TEW Posted 8 April , 2020 Share Posted 8 April , 2020 His MIC shows four units with corresponding numbers. Have you tried searching for service/pension under all numbers? Card says dis[charged]. Perhaps WFA ledgers? TEW

Pat Atkins Posted 9 April , 2020 Share Posted 9 April , 2020 (edited) HMS Vivid and HMS Vivid II were the Devonport shore establishment; Vivid II was the stokers and ERAs School. Wikipedia (I know, I know) says HMS Medusa was an elderly cruiser on harbour duty until a destroyer of that name went into service in 1915.
