Medal Roll I have found the following: Ernest Blankley Pte 44150 1/6th Durham Light Infantry 85th TR Bn I.B.D T.R/5/ 62632 I am a bit mystified by '85th TR Bn I.B.D T.R/5/ 62632' Should I be looking for a connection with a Territorial Battalion or a Tank Regiment? ss002d6252 Posted 2 April , 2020 Share Posted 2 April , 2020 TR - Training Reserve IBD - Infantry Base Depot It would appear he was still on the books of the 85th TR Bn (for admin purposes - they never went overseas) until he got to the Base Depot in France and was then re-allocated.
